A RIDE ON THE HASBANI

My fondest memories of family picnics are ones we used to have by the Hasbani river. We used to pack what felt like the whole house with us: plastic chairs and tables, carpets and small mattresses, and a lot of snacks and fruits. I used to firmly plant my chair in the shallow part of the river and dip my feet in the water while eating watermelon. My cousins and I's favorite activity was running after our slippers taken away by the river. The way this canoe was floating reminded me of that.
